Today, I saw this little dog in the pound I wanted to adopt and bring him home to give as a christmas present to my mom. He was in the pound for a month and no body would adopt him cause he is older. His owners got rid of him because they had a baby. I went to try to adopt him but the lady at the pound would not let me because I was going to give the dog to my mom as a present. He is the sweetest little dog I have ever met. Anyhow, I got the number of her supervisor to complain and I hope I can take this dog out. Please pray that they do not put him to sleep and I get to take the dog home.

I suggest that you break the traditional bounds of Christmas and simply bring your mother into the pound to sign the paperwork. You might give your mother the money if you so wish, but if your heart is in this dog, don't let traditional ways of celebrating the Holy Feast get in your way.

You should prob make sure that your mother wants a dog before you surprise her with it. I surprised my parents this year with two dogs (seperate) and now I only have one because they really really didn't want a second one. Ask your mom first.
