Someone I happen to know wrote a brochure for people who are on the outside but are thinking of attending a litergy in our Church for the first time. I wish I knew who to attach a file to this board. Too bad I don't. But I think that this is very beneficial for people because then they would know what to expect. Thank God I had my friend Nargis with me the first time I ever attended a litergy in the Coptic Church because she told me what to expect before I attended. She also taught me about the culture so that I can relate better with the other people. Back then I felt a little out of place and awkward when I went the first time because I was the only one there who was not Egyptian and did not know how to speak arabic. But Egyptians are so friendly that I felt welcomed right away. Now I feel right at home, made lots of friends and learned some Arabic. In fact, everytime I go to the church, I feel like I am going home.
