I would love to know who writes the answers to these questions.

Every example given, the person dies by God's choice and not that of humans, which only proves what everyone who is against capital judgement on this forum is trying to say.

Now, regarding the verse where it says to submit to the authority of the state, what is meant by this is the same as "give to Ceaser what is Ceaser's and to God what is God's". If the state allows abortion, that does not mean that we submit to this.

If anyone knows who writes the answers to these questions, please tell me.

I looked at earlier posts and someone mentioned H.G. Bishop Youssef...If i ever meet him, i will talk to him and tell him what i think and ask him if the pope has a say on this subject.

It is not the same as "give to Caesar what is Caesar's..." The state is allowed to do anything with regards to subjects that Christianity is neutral on. For example - Jesus did not preach any particular tax policy, so He said, "give to Caesar what is Caesar's."

You have to show why Christianity is not neutral to the death penalty. You can't really use the commandment against murder, because that commandment IS againt murder. The state does not deliver murder, it delivers punishment. Killing someone and murdering someone is not the same thing.

For that same reason, God sent Israelites into battle to kill their enemy at the same time He was telling them, "thou shalt not murder."

The burden of proof is not on the pro-capital punishment to show why Christianity SUPPORTS the death penalty, but on the anti-capital punishment to show why Christianity REJECTS it. Neutrality goes in favor of the state's discretion.
