Hello,
I have heard some reports of users being unable to listen to hymns in our library of Coptic Hymns due to an "invalid socket error" message in RealPlayer.
This is a RealPlayer issue that can be triggered by your router or PC.
To solve it, follow these instructions:
1. Go to http://speedtest.net/ and run a speed test, note speeds (up and down) and ping time.
2. Go to http://service.real.com/realplayer/test/ and try some files. Do they all work? If not, continue below.
3. Configure RealPlayer to receive content via HTTP only:
a. On the RealPlayer menu, click Preferences.
b. Click the Transport icon.
c. Select the Use manually configured RTSP and PNA transport Settings check box.
d. Click the Configure button.
e. Under RTSP, clear all boxes except HTTP.
f. Under PNA, clear all boxes except HTTP, then close the Transport Preferences window.
Please let me know if there are any more issues.
GBU,
ps
